WHAT IS SAND CASTING?

Sand casting for involves creating molds made of sand mixed with a binder material to form intricate shapes and patterns. The mold cavity is prepared by compacting sand around a pattern, which is then removed to leave a void for molten brass to be poured. Once the brass solidifies, the sand mold is broken away, revealing the finished brass casting.
